Dr Ji Soo Chung is a physician in-training with strong interests in respiratory and sleep medicine. He completed the divisional written and clinical examinations of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and is currently undertaking a Sleep Research Fellowship at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research.

Dr. Aaron Schokman is a lived experience Research Fellow at The University of Sydney. He is currently affiliated with the Central Clinical School, Charles Perkins Centre and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course. Aaron was diagnosed with narcolepsy type 1, a rare and debilitating sleep disorder in his late teens that sparked his interest in research, co-design and all things sleep.

Sheila Sivam, MD, PhD, is a clinician and researcher based in Sydney, Australia, affiliated with the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She is actively involved in clinical research on narcolepsy type 1 and orexin-based therapies, including studies of oveporexton (TAK 861). Dr Sivam has contributed as an author and investigator to several phase 3 clinical programmes examining treatment effects on quality of life and related outcomes, and has participated in international collaborations supporting the development and dissemination of sleep medicine research.

Dr Karyn O’Keeffe is an Associate Professor at the Sleep/Wake Research Centre at Massey University in Wellington. Her research focuses on understanding the experiences and impacts of shift work and workplace fatigue, particularly in healthcare settings, and improving fatigue risk management. She also investigates strategies to enhance sleep health and explores the lived experience of sleep disorders. Her work integrates applied and translational research to improve health, safety, and wellbeing in real-world contexts.

Evelyn Groves is a fourth-year Honours student at the University of Sydney, completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise Physiology. Her research focuses on hypersomnolence, specifically the development of a consumer-informed survey to understand the lived experience of exercise in individuals with idiopathic hypersomnia. Just three months into her Honours candidature, Evelyn was awarded Best Poster Presentation at the Woolcock Institute Student Symposium, a remarkable achievement reflecting the quality and impact of her emerging research. Evelyn is committed to ensuring the patient voice shapes future exercise science research in this underexplored area.

Dr Jian Eu Tai is a Respiratory and Sleep Physician based in Northern Beaches Hospital in Sydney. He is also involved with research and clinical trials in in the Woolcock Institute, having completed his clinical sleep fellowship there. He is currently completing his research Masters on electroencephalographic and autonomic biomarkers of central disorders of hypersomnolence.

Assoc. Prof. Jitka Bušková, a neurologist and certified somnologist, currently working as the Head of the Sleep Medicine Department and senior researcher at the National Institute of Mental Health in Klecany, Czech Republic. Her research focuses primarily on hypersomnias and parasomnias.
