Olivier M. Vanderveken is a full-time ENT and head and neck surgeon at the Antwerp University Hospital in Belgium. He has been appointed Chairman of the Department of ENT-HNS at Antwerp University Hospital. He holds a position as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Antwerp. He received his medical degree from the University of Antwerp in 2001. He completed an ENT and head and neck surgery residency at the Antwerp University Hospital. In 2007, he obtained a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences on the topic of the fundamental and multidisciplinary approach to upper airway collapse during sleep-disordered breathing. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal 'Sleep and Breathing' and the Deputy Editor of the ‘Journal of Dental Sleep Medicine’. In the past, he has been awarded several national and international scientific awards, including the “AADSM Clinical Research Award” in 2011, the “AADSM Clinical Excellence Award” in 2011, and the “Pierre Robin Academic Award” of AADSM in 2012 from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr Elizabeth Chronowski graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide. Over more than two decades she has developed an interest in dental sleep medicine. She holds a Fellowship in Dental Sleep Medicine and is currently pursuing a PhD at Flinders University, investigating the efficacy of oral appliances in managing obstructive sleep apnoea. Her research supervisor is Professor Danny Eckert. In addition to her research and private practice at SA Medical Specialists, she has the role of civilian Senior Dental Officer ADF in South Australia. She also serves on the ASA Education and Conference committees.

Danny J. Eckert BAppl Sci, BSc (Hons), PhD, FAASM, ATSF is a Matthew Flinders Professor at Flinders University, a National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia Leadership Fellow and a Lead Investigator at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital (part-time), and a visiting Professor at Harvard Medical School, Boston. He serves as Director of the Flagship Sleep Health Program at Flinders University where he leads a comprehensive basic sciences and translational research program comprised of >130 multidisciplinary sleep researchers. Professor Eckert has published >250 papers in the leading sleep/respiratory and general medical journals. He is most well-known for his pioneering sleep apnoea mechanistic endo-phenotyping and treatment work which has led to new precision medicine approaches to treat this chronic respiratory condition including development of novel pharmacotherapy and for his broader sleep health research and advocacy work including leading the multi-award winning 3-part TV series, Australia’s Sleep Revolution with Dr Michael Mosley.

Dr. Neela Nath is a clinical dentist with over 30 years experience, sub-specialising in oral appliance therapy for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). She is Principal Dentist at Custom Sleep Solutions and also a Senior Dental Officer with the Australian Defence Force. Dr Nath graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1995 and holds dual fellowships in Dental Sleep Medicine (FDSM) and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) and a Graduate Certificate from Monash University. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Dental Sleep Medicine Council and has previously served on the ASA conference and education committees. Dr. Nath is a member of the ASA, ADA, RACDS, ANZAOP and Golden Key Honour Society.
