Auto-CPAP Algorithms: Why Device Performance Matters.
This workshop will explore how auto-CPAP devices differ in the detection and classification of respiratory events and in their pressure-response strategies. Drawing on clinical data and standardized bench testing, it will illustrate how algorithmic differences, including responses to obstructive events and unintentional leaks, can influence residual AHI estimation, delivered pressure, and therapeutic efficacy. The session will also discuss the clinical relevance of device-reported data and the importance of standardized evaluation to objectively assess and optimize auto-CPAP performance.
