Afsaneh Majidi is a provisional psychologist and Master of Clinical Psychology student with a strong interest in sleep, mental health, and neurodevelopmental presentations. Her research interests include obstructive sleep apnoea, subjective and objective measures of sleepiness, and the broader psychological impacts of sleep disorders. Afsaneh previously completed an honours thesis examining sleepiness in obstructive sleep apnoea and is currently preparing to commence PhD research in the area of sleep disorders and neurodiversity. She is passionate about translating research findings into meaningful clinical practice and improving outcomes for individuals experiencing sleep-related difficulties.

Cham Nguyen is an NHMRC Ideas Grant-funded PhD candidate at the College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University. Her doctoral research applies artificial intelligence and non-contact sensing to estimate sleep breathing disorder endotypes and investigates the impact of body position on sleep apnoea and its phenotypes. Building on an engineering background and industry experience as a surveyor, She integrates this technical background into her research through programming and analytical tools.

He completed his PhD in Engineering at Flinders University in 2022, specialising in machine learning and signal processing. His research focuses on physiology-guided AI, sleep disorders, circadian health, and biomedical sensing technologies.

He is currently a director of multiple sleep centers in Canada His research interests include: newer therapies for asthma, COPD and Sleep Apnea. He has published over 300 peer reviewed articles, book chapters and many books. Dr. Sharma recently won awards for his research with novel appliances from the American College of Chest Physicians and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr Jen Walsh leads the research and education teams at the Centre for Sleep Science at the University of Western Australia and the sleep physiology research team at the West Australian Sleep Disorders Institute at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Jen’s research focuses on investigating the causes of, and treatments for, sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnoea and insomnia. Since 2016 her research has included investigating the use of medicinal cannabis for the treatment of sleep disorders.
