Details
This ASA Primary Care Council-led symposium brings together primary care clinicians and researchers from across Australia and New Zealand to explore the diversity and complexity of insomnia presentations in primary care. The symposium will present three diverse aspects of insomnia management in primary care using case studies as a starting point for exploration. The three case studies presented will include: a breast cancer survivor, a postmenopausal woman and a man with depression. Each case study will be followed by a brief discussion on the context in primary care including prevalence, range of presentations, and important clinical issues, and recent research to inform evidence-based practice in insomnia management. The session will conclude with a panel discussion with all presenters.
