Biography

Jack Manners is a Research Fellow at FHMRI: Sleep Health, currently coordinating two clinical trials focused on using novel technologies to simplify and improve the diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Dr Manners' broader research explores the integration of emerging technologies into clinical care, with a focus on OSA phenotyping, identifying sleep-related risk factors, and predicting functional outcomes such as cognitive performance. This work is supported by his development and stewardship of a large, multi-study sleep data repository.

Molly-Eve is a PhD student at the Adelaide Institute for Sleep Health, Flinders University. Her research focuses on non-drug interventions for reducing breathlessness in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and better understanding the relationship between sleep and next day breathlessness in COPD alone and co-morbid COPD and OSA.

Families' experiences navigating OSA care for children with craniofacial conditions

Biography

Matilda O'Neil is a Research Assistant in the Kids Sleep Research Group at the Child Health Research Centre, The University of Queensland. Her work supports clinical and qualitative research projects focused on improving sleep outcomes for children with neurodisabilities and complex medical needs and their families, and hospital-based sleep health interventions. Matilda holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) from UQ and is aiming to pursue postgraduate study in psychology. She has strong interests in Clinical Health Psychology, as well as in the management of paediatric sleep problems and disorders and substance use disorders in adults.

Dr Ben Nguyen is a Staff Specialist at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He is completing a PhD at the University of Sydney exploring the impact of positive airway pressure therapy on cardiac remodelling, cardiovascular risk factors and neurocognitive function in patients with COPD and OSA overlap syndrome.
