Details

We will have two science communication experts to lead this session. As a sleep field we are still in our infancy so we will take guidance from a range of experts to improve how we get our research messages accurately into the media. Come and see the 5 local finalists (from across Australasia) show their creative and innovative talents in which they showcase their short video, or talk summarising their research, pitched at the general public, in plain language. Increasingly in this era of an explosion of sleep stories in the media and particularly on social media, there is a great risk of misinformation in all platforms of the media. Become better informed about how to increase health communication science to develop interventions that nudge and navigate patients and populations toward better sleep health. It is essential that researchers help to accelerate the translation of their science via digital creativity and innovation on a wide range of platforms.
