We welcome all to the Dental Sleep Medicine symposium session to learn insights into the latest research and clinical topics on oral appliances for the management of obstructive sleep apnoea & sleep-disordered breathing. As a tremendous amount of research in this area pours through, this symposium aims to provide an updated overview of where oral appliances fit in the treatment toolbox for OSA and how this can be applied to modern day clinical practice.

Dr Viviano obtained his credentials from the University of Toronto in 1983. His clinic is limited to managing sleep-disordered breathing and bruxism.
He is a Credentialed Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, has lectured internationally, conducted original research, authored original articles on the management of sleep-disordered breathing and is an invited lecturer for Loma Linda University and University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.
His clinic was the first Canadian facility accredited by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and he is Clinical Director of the Sleep Disorders Dentistry Research and Learning Centre.

Dr Mukherjee is Professor of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Flinders University who is an expert clinician and researcher in respiratory and sleep medicine at Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) and Clinical Lead of Research at the Department of Respiratory and Sleep medicine at SA Health. Currently, her major fields of interest are sleep apnoea, sleep health, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. Prof Mukherjee been successful in obtaining multiple grants in the US, Canada and Australia (over $10M AUD), and has published extensively (>100 articles, >9000 citations, Google scholar) in high impact journals.
