Biography

Dr Jacky Tu is a Respiratory Physician based in Melbourne who is currently completing a post-Fellowship Sleep Medicine Fellow at Respiratory and Sleep Disorders Department at Western Health to further consolidate his knowledge in the management of respiratory and non-respiratory sleep disorders. His other sub-specialty research areas of interest include bronchiectasis, pleural infections and the management of the paediatric acute limp. Outside his clinical duties, he enjoys travelling, enjoying the Melbourne food scene and spending time with his toy cavoodle Milo.

Huy is a final year Respiratory trainee at Monash Health in Melbourne with an interest in Sleep Medicine and plans to undertake a fellowship in sleep next year. He also has interests in health data and the intersection between heatlh informatics and clinical medicine. Outside of work he is otherwise preoccupied with and on call for daddy duties for newborn twins.

Biography

Dr Liam Beaumont is a paediatric respiratory and sleep advanced trainee, currently completing his final core training year at the Melbourne Children’s Sleep Centre at Monash Children’s Hospital. Liam is a University of Otago, New Zealand graduate with a post-graduate diploma in child health and post-graduate certificate in clinical teaching. His paediatric career began in Christchurch before transitioning to Melbourne to broaden his experience across his sub-specialty fields. The research he is presenting will also be submitted as his college training project. He hopes to continue to contribute both clinically and academically to paediatric sleep medicine as his career progresses.

Hannah is a Fellow in Paediatric Respiratory and Sleep Medicine. She is currently undertaking a clinical fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick. Her prior research areas include cystic fibrosis, asthma and she is currently undertaking a PhD focusing on improving quality of care for paediatric asthma.

Sam is currently a Lung Transplant Fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He completed core respiratory training in 2024 at the Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. With a strong interest in lung transplantation, sleep medicine, and respiratory physiology, Sam’s passion for these fields is deeply rooted in his undergraduate studies, where he majored in Neuroscience and Physiology.

Aiden is interested in all aspects of sleep medicine and is enjoying gaining further clinical experience in a rapidly evolving field. Aiden currently sits on the ASA membership committee.
