Compumedics is proud to once again sponsor the Annual Sleep DownUnder Fun Run!
In 2025 the Fun Run will take place on Friday 10th October along the beautiful River Torrens.
Participants can run or walk along the track next to the River and have a choice of 3 distances - 3km (short), 6km (medium) or 9km (long).
Compumedics will provide each Fun Run participant with a commemorative Race Day singlet, as well as water and on the go breakfast. The first three placegetters for each distance will receive a medal.
Compumedics will contribute a donation of ten dollars per participant to the Rob Pierce fund.
Three events will again be offered, approximately 3 km, 6 km and 9 km.
All three will be run or walked in a clock-wise direction along the banks of the River Torrens. The shorter loop will be 3 km, and the longer loop will be 6 km. Those who want a 9 km run, can run both loops.
The start and finish area will be on the lawns between the Convention Centre and the River Torrens. If it is raining, we will move to the Rotunda closer to King William Road.
Everyone will start by running and walking down stream along the path next to the river, with the river on your right. Continue under the Montefiore Road bridge. Turn right onto the bridge across the Torrens Weir. Then turn right again after crossing the Weir, past the Par 3 Café on your right, then join the path again with the river on your right. When you get to the King William Road bridge, those doing the 6 km loop will pass under the bridge. Those doing the 3 km loop will take the path up to the road, cross over the river on the bridge, then turn right to join the path again with the river on your right. This will take you to the start / finish line.
For those doing the 6 km loop, after passing under the King William Road bridge, continue on the path, past the Adelaide University foot bridge, then under the Frome Road bridge. The next bridge is a foot bridge, the Sir Douglas Nicholls Bridge. Cross this and turn right to follow the path, with the river on your right, back to the start / finish line, which is not long after you pass under the King William Road bridge.
