Do healthy sleepers demonstrate sleep-wake state discrepancy?
3:08 PM - 3:20 PMBiography
Darah is a third-year clinical Ph.D. student at Flinders University. She has clinical and research interest in sleep disorders such as insomnia. Specifically, Darah focuses her work on improving the efficacy, quality, and delivery of psychological interventions for sleep disorders. Darah has devoted much of her time towards investigating a phenomenon known as sleep-wake state discrepancy; whereby individuals with insomnia self-report worse sleep parameters than polysomnography or actigraphy reports. She hopes, with the support of her supervisors Nicole Lovato and Jessica Paterson, to help develop standardisation surrounding this phenomenon and facilitate improved care for clients demonstrating sleep-wake state discrepancy.
