Ross Deas earned his PhD in multisensory integration from The University of Nottingham and completed a Postdoctoral fellowship at Dalhousie University, focusing on clinical studies for new medical devices in the field of balance and hearing. He then spent six years conducting early feasibility research for active implants targeting new disease indications. For the past six years, Ross has been with ResMed, where he leads a team that supports the development of new sleep-related products and medical devices through clinical evidence and expert insights.

Dr. Nguyen's work focuses on innovative, physiology-guided machine learning to understand various sleep disorders, including sleep breathing disorders and circadian misalignments.

Dr Rosie Gibson has a background in psychology and clinical sleep practice. She is based at Massey University and is affiliated with the Health and Ageing Research Team and the Sleep/Wake Research Centre. Her research focuses on sleep across the lifespan, with a special focus on sleep of older adults and families affected by dementia. She also has a growing body of work concerning sleep as a social construct, including discourses, perceptions, and patterning of sleep among diverse populations within Aotearoa New Zealand.

Dr Hailey Meaklim [BSc(Hons), Mpsych, PhD, DBSM] is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Dr Meaklim’s research focuses on improving the translation of evidence-based insomnia treatments into mental healthcare. Her mission is to ensure that all healthcare providers receive basic training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to improve their clients' sleep and mental health outcomes. She is also passionate about improving our understanding and treatment of insomnia. Dr Meaklim also holds a clinical appointment as a Sleep Psychologist at St Vincent's Hospital Sleep Centre in Melbourne.
