Registration Terms and Conditions

  • Full payment for registration fees must be received prior to the 33rd Annual NZSTA Conference
  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include Goods and Services Tax of 15%.
  • All cancellations of registration should be sent to nzsta@theconferencecompany.com by 5pm on 10 July 2023. Cancellations received prior to this date are eligible for a refund. All cancellations "including no shows" received after 10 July 2023 are not eligible for a refund.
  • A transfer of a registration to another person may be considered on application to our conference managers at nzsta@theconferencecompany.com. You must have the authority to purchase this registration on behalf of your school/organisation and your school/organisation is responsible for payment.
  • The Privacy Act 2020 provides that, before your name and contact details can be published in a list of participants you must give your consent.  If you select ‘Yes, I do want my details to be included in the list of participants’ on the registration form or by email, your details may be distributed to:
    • Conference delegates, sponsors and exhibitors (note that if consent is given to have your details included in the List of Participants, it is likely that sponsors may add you to their mailing lists and send promotional emails to you)
    • Organisers of future NZSTA events
  • If, for reasons beyond the control of the Organising Committee, the Conference is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded after the deduction of expenses already incurred.
  • By registering for the conference you are confirming consent for any video and photographs taken at the Conference, in which you may appear, to be used by the Association in promotion of the Conference.
  • By registering for the conference, you are consenting for your data to be used as per the “Data Consent Policy”. If you decide against your data being used, your registration will be cancelled less the cancellation fee above.

Information Presented at the Conference

The information presented at the Conference is solely intended for financial member boards only.
You understand and agree that you are being provided with the information for educational and informational purposes only and that information will be provided to educate you on the topics relevant to the New Zealand School Trustees Association
Although the NZSTA  strives to present only current and accurate information at its conference, you agree not to solely rely on this information or consider it to be any form of professional advice without additional independent review of its accuracy, completeness, efficacy, and timeliness.
Any decisions as to how you use this information is in your sole discretion and NZSTA will not be liable for any issues that may arise from such use.  

Participant Conduct

You will conduct yourself in a professional manner that is free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
You will treat all participants with respect and consideration to create a collegial, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment at the 33rd Annual NZSTA Conference 

Legal Claim

This agreement is subject to the law of New Zealand. In the event of any legal claims arising from either party, New Zealand shall be the sole court of jurisdiction. 

Programme

NZSTA reserve the right to modify the programme, which is published as an indication only. 

Recordings

If NZSTA plans to record the conference, which recording will be made available on the conference websites and for distribution to conference attendees.
In addition, the conference will be live-streamed. I acknowledge that photographs and/or videos may be taken of me and other attendees at any time during the Conference and may be used in media, including websites and print publications. 

 

Accommodation Terms and Conditions (if applicable)

  • Prices are in NZ dollars and include Goods and Services tax of 15%.
  • A credit card guarantee is taken at the time of booking. The credit card will be charged by the hotel as specified below.
  • Rates provided for each of the hotels are specific to the conference dates only. 

Pullman Hotel

  • Individual Bookings
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure your booking. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If you cancel your booking on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.
  • Group Bookings (5 or more rooms) 
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure the bookings. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If the group booking is cancelled between Tuesday 16 May 2023 and Wednesday 14 June 2023, the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged 50% of the full amount owed for accommodation.  If the group booking is cancelled on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.
  • There will be a credit card surcharge of 2% for all payments made by credit card.
  • Room configurations are subject to availability. The requested configuration will be sent to the hotel but cannot be guaranteed.
  • All guests will be required to provide credit card details for pre-authorisation on check-in. If the guest does not wish to use their credit card then a deposit will be required on check-in.
  • All guests are responsible for settling the full balance and any additional nights booked while at the hotel, and any incidentals incurred upon departure.
  • Rooms include complimentary WIFI and complimentary access to the luxury health club.
  • Breakfast is served at Barrel & Co. restaurant, which is located on the Ground level. Breakfast is an additional $31 per person per day. This is to be paid directly at the hotel.
  • Check-in time is 2pm. Check-out time is 11am.

 

Novotel Rotorua Lakeside

  • Individual Bookings
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure your booking. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If you cancel your booking on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.
  • Group Bookings (5 or more rooms) 
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure the bookings. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If the group booking is cancelled between Tuesday 16 May 2023 and Wednesday 14 June 2023, the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged 50% of the full amount owed for accommodation.  If the group booking is cancelled on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.

  • Group Bookings (5 or more rooms) 
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure the bookings. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If the group booking is cancelled between Tuesday 16 May 2023 and Wednesday 14 June 2023, the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged 50% of the full amount owed for accommodation.  If the group booking is cancelled on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.

  • All guests are responsible for settling the full balance and any additional nights booked while at the hotel, and any incidentals incurred upon departure.
  • Full cooked buffet breakfast is an additional $26 per person per day. This is to be paid directly at the hotel.
  • Check-in time is 2pm. Check-out time is 10am.

Sudima Hotel

  • Individual Bookings
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure your booking. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If you cancel your booking on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.
  • Group Bookings (5 or more rooms) 
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure the bookings. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If the group booking is cancelled between Tuesday 16 May 2023 and Wednesday 14 June 2023, the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged 50% of the full amount owed for accommodation.  If the group booking is cancelled on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.
  • There will be a credit card surcharge of 2% for all payments made by credit card.

  • Rates are based on a maximum of 2 guests per room.  Additional pax will incur extra charges for each additional person.
  • Early arrivals and late check outs are availbale on a request basis only; a surcharge may apply for guaranteed times.
  • Breakfast is an additional $30 per person per day. This is to be paid directly at the hotel.
  • Check-in time is 2pm. Check-out time is 11am.

 

Ibis Rotorua

  • Individual Bookings
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure your booking. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If you cancel your booking on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.
  • Group Bookings (5 or more rooms) 
    • A credit card guarantee for the full stay is required to secure the bookings. The credit card details submitted on this booking form will be securely transferred to the hotel.  Full payment should be made directly with the hotel upon check in. 
    • If the group booking is cancelled between Tuesday 16 May 2023 and Wednesday 14 June 2023, the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged 50% of the full amount owed for accommodation.  If the group booking is cancelled on or after Wednesday 14 June 2023, or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as a guarantee will be charged for the full amount required.
