Jackie Batchelor is Manager and Senior Podiatrist of the NADC-accredited Core Interdisciplinary High Risk Foot Service at Nepean Hospital in Sydney. She holds a Master’s degree in Wound Care and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, focusing on implementation science and translating evidence into practice in diabetes-related foot disease. Through her clinical leadership and research, she is dedicated to improving outcomes for people at risk of foot ulceration and amputation.

A podiatrist and clinician-scientist, his research applies advanced health technologies and data science to understand disease mechanisms and develop personalised interventions. His presentation explores how socioeconomic deprivation and comorbidity influence risk stratification for diabetic foot ulceration.

Siana Hewett graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from La Trobe University in 2017. She has eight years of experience in the management of high-risk foot complications within the public health sector and currently holds the position of Senior Podiatrist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Siana has been an Endorsed Podiatrist since April 2021. She is currently a Graduate Research Student at La Trobe University and is leading a research project in collaboration with The Royal Melbourne Hospital Diabetic Foot Unit and Microbiology Department.
