Biography
Erina Korohina (Ngāti Porou) is a public health nutritionist and researcher at Manawaora Integrated Health & Research. Her work focuses on Indigenous health, including Māori heart health, workforce development, and community-led research. She leads Te Ara Poutama – Living Well with Heart Disease and serves on the CSANZ Scientific Committee and Equity, Diversity and Culture Working Group.

Biography
Anna is the Managing Director of The Centre for Health and Manawaora Integrated Health and Research, organisations dedicated to advancing equitable and culturally responsive healthcare systems. Her vision is to foster a health framework that is participatory, informed, and reflective of diverse cultural values, with a particular emphasis on Māori perspectives on wellbeing.
A recognised health practitioner and researcher, Anna holds extensive leadership and governance experience within the health sector. Her work integrates a robust academic foundation with a commitment to translating research into practice, advocating for approaches that support individuals and communities in navigating pathways toward sustainable health and wellbeing.

Saraya started her career working in Auckland City Hospital's Virology lab during the COVID-19 pandemic. She then moved into the Molecular Genetics department at Auckland City Hospital while completing my masters in Genetic Counselling. Her area of interest is indigenous genomics with a focus on cardiac genetics and genetic counselling.

Dr Simone Watkins is a Paediatric doctor of Samoan descent from Auckland, New Zealand. She was awarded a Chancellor's Award for Top Māori and Pacific Scholar by the University of Auckland to undertake a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. She graduated from her medical studies with distinction in 2011. After completing her initial junior doctor years in Whangārei, she moved to Auckland to train in Paediatrics in 2014 and has been teaching in Paediatrics and undergraduate medicine since 2017. Dr Watkins has a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Health and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education and currently co-directs the FRACP written exam teaching course at the University of Auckland. Dr Watkins competed her doctorate in equity of outcomes for critical congenital heart disease.
