Biography

Vinay is an advanced trainee in the Wellington and Nelson regions having previously undertook a large portion of his earlier basic training in Auckland. He has a broad interest in all aspects of cardiology. Outside of work you can find him travelling, running and playing or watching sports late into the night. He is currently based at Nelson Hospital and is inspired by what the region has to offer both in the hospital and outside of work.

Biography

Dr. Ayah is a Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher at both the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, University of Auckland, and Auckland University of Technology. She has 10 years of experience training as a general surgeon before transitioning fully into academia and research. Her interests span multiple areas, but her main focus is 4D flow CMR in both the cardiovascular system and the brain. She is also interested in digital twin workflow applications and undergraduate clinical teaching.

Biography

Albert Cho is a Basic Training Cardiology Registrar with experience working closely with the cardiology teams at Auckland City Hospital and North Shore Hospital in Auckland. He has a strong interest in cardiac amyloidosis and other infiltrative cardiomyopathies, with a particular focus on imaging modalities and diagnosis. His work is driven by a commitment to ongoing learning and research in cardiology, especially in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and optimizing treatment strategies for complex cardiomyopathies

Biography

Ajay is a final year medical student with the University of Auckland. He is currently at North Shore Hospital, and has previously studied at Waikato and Middlemore Hospital. He continuously aims to broaden his exposure within the medical field, is part of a student-led trans-Tasman research collaborative, and is looking forward to completing his elective at Imperial College London later this year.
