Dr J-C Han is a senior research fellow at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, He receives a Heart Foundation Senior Fellowship to investigate the clinical significance and potential of measuring cardiac energetics, in particular, cardiac efficiency, for the diagnosis and prognosis of heart diseases.

Te Paea Ma'u is a first year student at Waipapa Taumata Rau, The University of Auckland. She is undertaking her first year of the Bachelor of Science, specialising in Biomedical Science, as a pathway to study medicine. Her iwi affiliations are Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Apakura, and Te Aitanga-ā-Māhaki. She is also from Tonga, where her villages are Kolomotu'a, Vaimalō and Masilamea, Vava'u. Schooled through Kohanga, Kura Kaupapa, and Wharekura, her passion is making a difference for Māori and Pasifika communities.

Vinay is an advanced trainee in the Wellington and Nelson regions having previously undertook a large portion of his earlier basic training in Auckland. He has a broad interest in all aspects of cardiology. Outside of work you can find him travelling, running and playing or watching sports late into the night. He is currently based at Nelson Hospital and is inspired by what the region has to offer both in the hospital and outside of work.
