Disseminated Nocardiosis with Pericardial Involvement in an Immunocompetent Patient

12:40 PM - 12:45 PM

Biography

Kathryn is a House Officer at Dunedin Hospital with a special interest in Cardiac Imaging and aortic stenosis.
Mr Joshua Dillon
Phd Student
Auckland Bioengineering Institute, University of Auckland

Automated 3D biventricular assessment of remodelling from cardiac magnetic resonance imaging discriminates between left ventricular hypertrophy phenocopies

12:45 PM - 12:50 PM

Biography

Joshua Dillon is a PhD student at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute. His research focuses on cardiac imaging and deep learning, with an interest in the clinical potential of 3D echocardiography. His aim is to develop tools for creating personalised 3D biventricular geometries from CMR and 3D echocardiography and translate them to clinical practice.
Miss Ruby Dunphy
Research Assistant
Auckland Bioengineering Institute

A composite echocardiography score for non-invasive rejection prediction in the acute post-transplant period

12:50 PM - 12:55 PM

Biography

Ruby Dunphy is a Master's of Engineering student in the Cardiac Mechanics Research Group at Auckland Bioengineering Institute. Her thesis explored non-invasive prediction of heart transplant rejection using echocardiography.
Mr George Harpur
Phd Student
Auckland Bioengineering Institute

Cardiac amyloidosis preferentially compromises subendocardial LV wall thickening strain but not torsion

12:55 PM - 1:00 PM

Biography

George Harpur has a Master of Bioengineering, working in the Heart Mechanics Research Group at the Auckland Bioengineering Institute. His research focuses primarily in the field of developing methods for estimating cardiac strains from CMR images. He is particularly interested in determining if high resolution local strain indices can offer insight in clinical environments and tools.
