Chris is a nurse practitioner at Middlemore Hospital running clinics for patient post acute coronary syndrome, heart failure and chest pain. He has an interest in IT solutions for nurses and patients, and is the clinical co-ordinator for the post graduate cardiac nursing course at the University of Auckland.

Vicki Wade is a senior Noongar woman (nurse) with over 40 years of experience in health at state and national levels. Vicki is a recipient of multiple national awards including the 2019 AHHA Sidney Sax medal and CSANZ Indigenous Health lifetime award for her contributions to Australian health services policy, delivery and research, particularly in relation to Indigenous heart health.

Marian Tuitama is a Maori Cardiology Specialist Nurse sitting under the Te Kaahui Maori Health Team and working closely with Cardiology Team at Counties Manukau. Her background has been in Cardiac Rehabilitation for all ethnicities but three years ago put her focus on the Maori population as they were not accessing the specialist care they needed. Her focus is working closely with this population to break down barriers and ensuring they get equitable care they need

Jennie Dean is the Clinical Nurse Manager in CCU at Hutt Valley Hospital. Her specialist interest for more than 20 years has been in the management of AF. She has run both nurse-led AF clinics, and continues to run a nurse led cardioversion programme. Jennie has kept abreast of guidelines for managing AF, and passionate about implementing these into practice.

Andy has clinical experience in long term condition support and management, acute cardiology and adult cardiac intensive care nursing. He leads a team of nurses at Middlemore hospital managing a range of cardiac nursing interventions including nurse clinics, a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation programme and supporting patients with heart failure. Andy runs a number of nurse clinics helping support people back to health following cardiac events, interventions or surgery.
He has published and presented research, papers, posters and abstracts in a number of forums over the years and is passionate about the role nurses have in improving the care and management of people living with heart disease.
