Jenny Deague is a member of the CSANZ Board and a general cardiologist from Western Australia specialising in echocardiography.

Vicki Wade is a senior Noongar woman (nurse) with over 40 years of experience in health at state and national levels. Vicki is a recipient of multiple national awards including the 2019 AHHA Sidney Sax medal and CSANZ Indigenous Health lifetime award for her contributions to Australian health services policy, delivery and research, particularly in relation to Indigenous heart health.

Dr James Marangou is a PhD candidate with Menzies School of Health Research and a consultant cardiologist at Royal Perth Hospital where he leads the Kimberley cardiology service. His PhD and current research focus on the implementation and impact of echocardiography screening for rheumatic heart disease during pregnancy care in high-risk populations across Northern Australia and Timor-Leste. Dr Marangou is co-editor of the 2025 Australian ARF/RHD guidelines and co-first author of the 2023 World Heart Federation guidelines for the echocardiographic diagnosis of RHD.

Professor Rachael Cordina is a clinical academic cardiologist with special interests in Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Pulmonary Hypertension, Indigenous Health, Exercise Physiology and Maternal Cardiology. She is a Head of the Adult Congenital Heart Service at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Raj is a Clinical Professor at University of Sydney in Faculty of Medicine, Cardiologist at RPA and AMS Redfern, Cardiac MRI Specialist at Westmead Children's Hospital and Clinical Practice Advisor, Executive Board member of CSANZ. He is committed to "closing the gap".

Amber Wombat Kerdel is a proud Wirangu, Kokotha and Mirning woman from the Far West Coast of South Australia, now living on Gadigal Country. With a deep connection to Country, Amber is passionate about preserving and promoting culture and improving the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. As the Aboriginal Community Engagement Officer at the Djurali Aboriginal Research Centre, she leads community engagement across the Centre's research projects, building meaningful partnerships with communities and ensuring Indigenous voices guide research and health initiatives. Amber is also Co-chair of the Heart Research Institute's Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group and a Chief Investigator on a Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) project. Through her work, she advocates for culturally safe, community-led research that strengthens the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Jessica is an Associate Professor and NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow at the School of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine & Health, the University of Sydney. Jessica was selected for the World Heart Federation Emerging Leaders Program 2023 and the American College of Cardiology Global Leadership Institute program 2026. Jessica’s research aims to improve the quality of cardiac screening programs to prevent sudden cardiac death and catastrophic disability from stroke. She leads the Hearts In Focus study, which aims to improve the uptake of cardiac screening in young Indigenous people in northern Australia using the sporting setting.
