Dr Karam Kostner is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland and Director of Cardiology at Mater Hospital in Brisbane, as well as Director of Cholesterol Care Australia and a senior cardiologist with Heart of Australia. His focus is preventative cardiology and lipid disorders, and over more than twenty years he has led major cholesterol therapy trials, published over 150 peer-reviewed papers, and served as past president of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (Queensland branch).
