He holds honorary cardiologist or professorial positions at Alfred Health, The University of Sydney, and Monash University, and has co-chairs key Australian national cardiovascular guidelines. With over 700 peer-reviewed publications cited more than 60,000 times, he is also an Associate Editor for the journal Hypertension and a public commentator on cardiovascular health. She has a background as a cardiology hospital pharmacist and has over 10 years’ experience in implementation, designing and scaling public health and clinical initiatives nationally.

Dr. Joseph O'Brien is a General and Interventional Cardiologist at Monash Health and Australian Cardiovascular Specialists. He is also a PhD candidate through the Victorian Heart Hospital, Monash Health, and Victorian Heart Institute, Monash University. His research focuses on coronary microvascular dysfunction, supported by scholarships from the National Health and Medical Research Council, National Heart Foundation, and Monash University, and a Clinical Academic Fellowship through Monash Health. In addition, he is a Pulmonary Hypertension Specialist with a focus on patient-centred, multidisciplinary care and is passionate about medical education, working as an Associate Lecturer through Monash University at Victorian Heart Hospital and having authored a textbook for Elsevier’s junior doctor suite called, “The Junior Doctor Survival Guide.” Dr. O'Brien has presented his research at international forums, with over 100 publications in prestigious medical journals across his career, and is actively involved in several ongoing clinical trials.

Dr. Aung Zaw Zaw Phyo is a Research Fellow at the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, Australia. Aung completed his MSc (with Distinction) specialisation in Epidemiology from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. He then obtained his PhD in Epidemiology from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He currently holds a National Heart Foundation of Australia - Postdoctoral Fellowship. His current research work focuses on a deeper understanding of the biology of ageing, frailty and cardiovascular disease.

Adam Nelson MBBS MBA/MPH PhD FRACP is an early career interventional cardiologist and clinical trialist appointed at the Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals, and clinical academic at the University of Adelaide. He is a clinical lead of national and international trials evaluating emerging cardiometabolic therapies and vaccines.
