DR MD SAYED ALI SHEIKH, MBBS, MD, Ph.D., Associate Professor in Cardiology, Jouf University, Saudi Arabia. Ali Sheikh’s research mainly focused on microRNAs in cardiovascular diseases. He has published many clinical and basic research papers in world high-ranking journals and also served as editor and guest editor in different journals. He presented several abstracts at different cardiology conferences around the world.

Belayneh K. Gelaw is a clinical pharmacist and researcher currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Tasmania, supported by a competitive PhD scholarship and a prestigious Pharmaceutical Society top‑up scholarship awarded in 2023. His doctoral research focuses on the optimisation of stroke‑prevention therapy, reflecting his growing expertise in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular care. Belayneh has conducted research on stroke, atrial fibrillation, and other chronic health conditions, contributing evidence toward improved therapy optimisation and patient‑centred outcomes. He has secured six research grants, leading three as Principal Investigator and contributing to three as Co‑Investigator, demonstrating strong research leadership and project management capability. He has supervised multiple student research projects and actively contributed to institutional research review processes. Belayneh earned his BPharm from Wollo University (2011) and MSc in Pharmacy Practice from Addis Ababa University (2017), Ethiopia.

Dr. Hidehiro Iwakawa is an electrophysiology fellow at the Centre for Heart Rhythm Disorders at Adelaide University. His clinical and research interests focus on arrhythmias, cardiac implantable electronic devices, and cardiac imaging.

Dr Youlin Koh completed her medical degree at Monash University and subsequent Cardiology training at Western Health, Alfred and Bendigo hospitals. She is currently undertaking her PhD and fellowship in Heart Rhythm Management via Royal Melbourne Hospital. Her research focuses on the impact of treating depression on atrial fibrillation outcomes, and the impact of socio-economic factors on post-AF treatment outcomes and access to catheter ablation.

Jeff Ma is a resident at Alfred Health with a broad interest in cardiology and electrophysiology. He has a strong interest in clinical research and evidence synthesis to improve patient outcomes.

Sutapa is a 3rd year PhD candidate in pharmacology studying cardiac neurobiology using human stem cell models of arrhythmia. Her research investigates how the autonomic nervous system influences atrial electrophysiology and contributes to atrial fibrillation. More broadly, Sutapa is interested in translational cardiovascular research and the creation of in vitro models to study neurocardiac communication and support the development of targeted therapies for atrial fibrillation.

Thalys Rodrigues is a second year Cardiology Advanced Trainee at the Austin Health, Melbourne, Australia. He has a keen interest in pursuing further training in Electrophysiology and population-level research studies.

Pierre is a cardiac electrophysiologist and clinician scientist based at Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals, Sydney, and the Westmead Applied Research Centre. He leads a translational biomedical engineering team at Westmead Hospital developing ablation technology to treat heart rhythm disorders and high blood pressure. He returned in 2020 from a clinical and research Fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School where his training in complex arrhythmia management included zero fluro techniques and clinical applications of novel ablation technologies.
