Dr Adam Lee
Cardiac Electrophysiologist
Liverpool Hospital
Cardioneural ablation - outcomes and patient selection
9:00 AM - 9:15 AMBiography
Adam Lee is a cardiac electrophysiologist based at Liverpool Hospital. He undertook EP training at Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, followed by a research/clinical EP fellowship at UCSF, San Francisco, USA where he served as faculty for 3 years.
Dr Vincent Deen
Cardiologist
Greenslopes Private Hospital
Tips and tricks in conduction system pacing
9:15 AM - 9:30 AMBiography
Vince is a visiting Cardiologist at Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane. He has a particular interest in conduction system pacing and was an early adopter of the technology to gain a large experience over the last 8 years. He has been a mentor in CSP for Cardiologists around Australia.
Dr Irene Stevenson
Cardiologist
Royal Melbourne Hospital
Patient selection for EV, SCD and TV
9:30 AM - 9:45 AMBiography
Dr Stevenson leads the Cardiac Implantable Device Service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She is an experienced cardiologist with expertise in pacemakers (including leadless systems), defibrillators (transvenous, subcutaneous, and extra-vascular), and cardiac resynchronisation therapy.
She has a particular interest in leveraging emerging remote monitoring technologies to enhance and streamline care for patients with cardiac devices, and she manages a large cohort of adult congenital heart disease patients with CIEDs. Dr Stevenson is especially passionate about "conduction system pacing", an advanced technique that utilises the heart’s natural electrical pathways to achieve more physiological pacing.
In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in teaching and mentoring cardiology trainees.
Dr Louise Segan
Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist
Alfred hospital
Primary prevention of sudden cardiac death in cardiac sarcoid, MVP and ARVC
9:45 AM - 10:00 AMBiography
Dr Louise Segan is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Alfred Hospital and the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. Dr Segan completed her PhD in 2025. Her PhD thesis focused on optimising outcomes in patients with AF and heart failure and highlighted the role of preventive measures as an integral part of AF management. Her work has included development and validation of a lifestyle based clinical risk score for AF, which can be readily applied at the bedside to inform about the risk of AF development, focusing on modifiable risk factor management.
Assoc Prof Michael Wong
Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist
Royal Melbourne Hospital/Western Health
Leadless: For whom? Why not in all?
10:00 AM - 10:15 AMBiography
Associate Professor Michael Wong is a Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne and Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Western Health. A previous recipient of multiple national/international accolades including 1st place Young Investigator Awards from the North American Heart Rhythm Society, World Congress of Cardiology and Ralph Reader Prize from the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand - he maintains an active interest in research currently supervising PhD students. He is also a regularly invited proctor teaching national & international colleagues in new state-of-the-art cardiac technologies including leadless cardiac pacing.
Assoc Prof Rajiv Mahajan
Associate Professor
Adelaide University
Is there still a role for CRT in cardiomyopathy?
10:15 AM - 10:30 AMBiography
Rajiv is the Electrophysiologist at Lyell McEwin Hospital within the North Adelaide Local Health Network. He is an Associate Professor at the Adelaide University and leads a research team that focuses on the impact of atrial fibrillation (AF) on cognitive function and the integration of precision health into the management of AF.
