Dr Nick Jackson studied cardiology and electrophysiology at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and at Toronto General Hospital in Canada. He is now a conjoint senior lecturer with the University of Newcastle and a staff specialist at John Hunter Hospital. During this time his research has included work on ventricular fibrillation in explanted human hearts and new mapping techniques for ventricular tachycardia ablation.

Dr. Juliana Kanawati is a Staff Specialist Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Nepean Hospital, NSW, where she has practised since 2022. She completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Cardiology, followed by subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology at London Health Sciences Centre in Canada, and a further research fellowship in complex arrhythmia at Westmead Hospital, University of Sydney.
Her clinical and research focus is the advancement of catheter ablation strategies and cardiac devices, with contributions to peer-reviewed publications and multicentre trials in these areas. She has been an invited speaker at national cardiology meetings on topics including the management of atrial fibrillation. She is an active educator, currently serving as educational supervisor for physician trainees and cardiology advanced trainees at Nepean Hospital.
