Biography

Dr Victoria Delgado is currently the head of the cardiovascular imaging department of the Heart Institute at the University Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol in Badalona, Spain. She graduated from medical school at the University of Barcelona (Spain), completed her PhD at Leiden University. She is currently President of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging of the European Society of Cardiology. She is also president of the Scientific Commission Sciences de la Vie et de la Santé - 4 (SVS-4) of the F.R.S.-FNRS (Belgium) and has formed part of several grant selection panels. She has been Senior Editor of Circulation and Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography.

Biography

Dr Aaisha Ferkh is a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in advanced cardiac imaging. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney, focusing on atrial cardiomyopathy and novel echocardiographic techniques. She recently undertook a two-year Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at St Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, with a focus on multimodality and structural heart imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI. Dr Ferkh’s clinical and research interests include valvular heart disease, atrial myopathy, and the integration of advanced imaging into routine clinical practice to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes. She practices in Western Sydney, focusing on patient-centred, culturally- responsive care and improving access to advanced cardiac imaging.

Biography

Dr. Tuğba Kemaloğlu Öz is the President of the Global Society of Cardiology. She is a cardiologist, cardiovascular imager, and Associate Professor of Cardiology, FESc, FRACP. Dr. Öz serves on the editorial boards of several journals, including Echocardiography and Balkan Journals. Her work primarily focuses on 3D echocardiography, valvular heart diseases, and the integration of new technologies in cardiology. In addition, she actively organizes international training programs and courses in echocardiography and cardiac imaging. She is currently affiliated with Fiona Standly Hospital, Hollywood Private Hospital, the University of Notre Dame, and Flinders University, Australia.

Biography

A/Prof James Hare is a Cardiologist in Heart Failure and Transplantation and Head of Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. He completed his PhD in advanced echocardiography at the University of Queensland and then undertook a post-doctoral fellowship in Cardiac MRI at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He has active research interests in heart failure and cardiac imaging and is an Associate Professor (Clinical Adjunct) at Monash University, Melbourne. James has specific expertise in diagnosis and management of inflammatory and infiltrative cardiomyopathies and directs the Cardiac Amyloidosis and Sarcoidosis Clinic at The Alfred.
