Stuart Thomas is the clinical lead for electrophysiology at Westmead Hospital in Sydney and a clinical academic at University of Sydney. He is a past Chairman of the Electrophysiology and Pacing Council of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and a Cardiac Society Board Member from 2009 to 2012. Dr Thomas was also a director of the NSW Heart Foundation and is a Fellow of the Australian Heart Foundation.

Barbara Casadei graduated (cum Laude & Medaglia Teresiana) at the University of Pavia, Italy and moved to Oxford to undertake her clinical and research training. She was awarded the Joan and Richard Doll Fellowship at Green College, a DPhil in Cardiovascular Medicine in 1995, and a British Heart Foundation Personal Chair in 2012. Since 2024, she has been Head of the National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London.
Barbara is a Fellow of the UK Academy of Medical Sciences, holds the highest honour of the British Cardiovascular Society (The Mackenzie Medal) and is Past President of the European Society of Cardiology (2018-20). She is the co-founder of EuroHeart (https://www.escardio.org/Research/euroheart#), an initiative that supports the assessment and improvement of quality of cardiovascular care in 15 countries, and the incoming Editor-in-Chief of JAMA Cardiology (2026-). She leads a bench-to-bedside translational research programme focused on atrial fibrillation, which spans from investigations in human tissue and cells to clinical trials.

Gwilym Morris is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist at the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle. He has a long standing clinical and research interest in electrical remodelling of the heart, including that caused by endurance athletic training. Prior to relocating in 2022 to Australia he worked with Prof Mark Boyett investigating function and disease of the cardiac conduction system, and established the Translational Arrhythmia Research Group in Manchester University, UK. Among other projects the groups worked on athletic remodelling of the sinoatrial node, the atrioventricular node and pulmonary vein arrhythmogenesis.

Dr Corcoran is a Cardiologist at Alfred Health with a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of syncope. She trained initially in electrophysiology and pacing and, but subsequently became interested in blood pressure regulation disorders resulting in syncope. She undertook further training in the autonomic control of blood pressure at The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in Melbourne. She is passionate about evidence based approaches to the investigation and management of syncope.
