Biography

Professor Ed Nicol KHS MStJ MD MBA DAvMed FRCP FRCR FACC FESC MSCCT is a consultant cardiologist and general internal medicine consultant who works at both the Royal Brompton and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals in London, UK. He is head of cardiovascular CT at the Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging at King’s College, London, and an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He is an Honorary Surgeon to his Majesty the King and a member of the Venerable Order of St John of Jerusalem. He is the SCCT Immediate Past-President, previous Chair of the SCCT Education committee and sits on the SCCT Board of Directors. He is past Chair of the UK cardiovascular Imaging Council, is a former Royal College of Radiologists’ Travelling Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging, Past President of the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging and British Society of Cardiovascular CT. He is an honorary senior lecturer in Healthcare Leadership at Keele University and has published over 300 original papers, book chapters and books covering cardiovascular CT, cardiology, and healthcare leadership.

Biography

Professor Callaway is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland; Director of Research in Women's and Newborn Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital; Co-Chair of the Queensland Maternal and Perinatal Quality Council; and General and Obstetric Physician. She continues to practice clinically in both obstetric and general medicine. She was awarded the Women’s Health Australasia Medal of Distinction for services to Women’s Health in 2022, and most recently, was named Researcher of the Year within Metro North Hospital and Health Service District. Professor Callaway has been ranked in the top 2% of most cited scientists globally (Scopus, Stanford University) with >180 publications. She has supervised 20 research higher degree scholars, 12 to completion. She has had >20 million dollars in research funding. Professor Callaway's research has been translated into a number of national and international guidelines. Prof Callaway's research has focussed on medical disorders of pregnancy, with a specific focus on metabolism and the developmental origins of adult health and disease. Her research has spanned public health, clinical research and has involved close collaboration with colleagues with skills in laboratory science.

Biography

Dr. Jessup is the Chief Science and Medical Officer of the American Heart Association and an Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She was the Chief Scientific Officer of the Leducq Foundation from January 2017 through August of 2018, before moving to the American Heart Association role. She practised heart failure and transplant cardiology for 30 years at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she served in a variety of administrative roles, including Medical Chief of the Heart and Vascular program, and Clinical Chief of Cardiology. She has been a long-time volunteer of the AHA and was a member of the Board of Directors of the national AHA, and President from 2013-2014.

Dr Jennifer Sun is a second-year cardiology advanced trainee at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, with a special interest in multimodality imaging. Recent research works include looking into the clinical and echocardiographic predictors of heart failure admission post myocardial infarction, the incidence and follow up of extracardiac findings on CTCA, and updates in the pharmaceutical treatment of obesity.

Professor Sally Inglis is a Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow and Health Leader for the UTS INSIGHT Digital, Virtual and AI in Health Collaborative which brings together clinicians, public health and policy experts with engineers and information technology specialists to address complex challenges in healthcare. Professor Inglis is a nationally and internationally-recognised research leader and expert in nurse-led and virtual models of cardiovascular care, especially telehealth, telemonitoring and digital patient education. Prof Inglis leads an innovative program of research focused on digital health and telehealth models of care to improve access to cardiovascular care, with a focus on women’s cardiovascular care.
