Rebecca of Ngāti Porou descent, is passionate about reducing health inequities, improving indigenous health, and creating culturally safe workspaces. Rebecca is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Nelson Marlborough Hospital, with a position on New Zealand's national cardiac network. She holds roles on the CSANZ Nursing Executive Council, Indigenous Council, and Te Rūnanga o Aotearoa. With a special interest in cardio geriatrics, her master's research focused on this area.

Carl is a PhD candidate researching rheumatic heart disease, acute rheumatic fever and group A streptococcus epidemiology in Queensland using linked state-wide administrative and health service data. Carl has a clincial background in hospital physiotherapy and is an academic lecturer at the School of Health and Rehabilitational Sciences, The University of Queensland. Carl is passionate about interigating usually-collected data from health services to identify areas for improvement towards better outcomes for people.

Satyen is a Principle House Officer in Cardiology working at the Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. He has a particular interest in the intersection of Cardiology and public health with a focus on closing the gap in outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians with Cardiovascular disease. This research interest was fostered after working in Cairns for many years, and having visited numerous Cape York and Torres Strait Indigenous communities on Cardiology outreach programs.
