Stacy Carter is Professor of Empirical Ethics in Health and Founding Director of the Australian Centre for Health Engagement, Evidence and Values (ACHEEV) in the School of Health and Society at the University of Wollongong. Her training is in public health, and her expertise is in applied ethics and social research methods. Her research program sits at the intersection of three crucial issues for health systems: using artificial intelligence, screening and diagnosis, and high-quality consumer and community engagement and participation.

Dr Raeside is a Research Fellow in the Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery at The University of Sydney. She completed her PhD in public health in 2025. She currently leads the Health4Me randomized controlled trial, testing the effectiveness of a co-designed digital health intervention to improve adolescent cardiovascular protective factors.

A/Prof Pavey’s research focuses on understanding, measuring and influencing physical activity for improved health outcomes. He is currently leading the QLD arm of a Tri-State RCT, Aussie-FIT, aimed at improving middle-aged men’s health and delivered at the men’s sports club. Aussie-FIT is funded by a $1,000,000 Heart Foundation Strategic Grant.

Dr Bridget Abell is an implementation scientist and health services researcher at QUT. She works to improve the use of evidence-based practices and improve the quality, effectiveness and equity of health services. A focus of this work is community-engaged and participatory research with multi-disciplinary and cross-sector stakeholders to plan, design and implement service change.
