Prof Kaz Negishi is Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney; Head of Discipline of Medicine at Nepean Clinical School; and a Cardiologist at Nepean Hospital, NSW; and current Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow. The three main pillars of research is 1) Application of advanced cardiac imaging for early identification of subclinical disease (Diabetic cardiomyopathy, cardio-oncology), 2) Environmental Cardiology, especially on air pollution and CVD; and 3) therapeutic application of ultrasound.

Dr Chaseling is a cardiovascular and thermal physiologist with experience investigating the influence of heat and exercise on thermal, cardiovascular, and perceptual outcomes amongst clinical populations. Dr Georgia Chaseling is involved in researching the impacts of environmental extremes on negative health outcomes amongst vulnerable populations. She is currently part of the SOLVE-CHD research team, funded by a 5-year NHMRC synergy grant, aimed at solving the long-standing evidence gaps associated with cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention of coronary artery disease. She is also the theme lead for Aging and Chronic Diseases within the Heat and Health Research Incubator, aimed at improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations in the face of climate change.

Thomas Astell-Burt is the Professor of Cities and Planetary Health at the University of Sydney’s School of Architecture, Design and Planning. He is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow in nature-based solutions, a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher, and is ranked 1st out of 10,000 globally for nature and health research.

Biography
Professor Inglis is a Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow, Professor of Cardiovascular Nursing and is Co-Convenor for the Digital, Virtual and AI in Health Co-Lab in the UTS Research Institute for Innovative Solutions for Well-being and Health (INSIGHT). Professor Inglis initiated and led an authorship of 13 Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners to conceptualise, develop and publish the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) Call to Action on Climate Change for Cardiovascular Nursing in 2023, published in Heart Lung and Circulation. Early in her research career, Professor Inglis recognised the impact of climate on health, and as a PhD student, publishing a data linkage study examining morbidity and mortality for people with heart failure in 2008 (European Journal of Heart Failure). Professor Inglis has held notable leadership roles within CSANZ and was Chair of the Cardiovascular Nursing Council from 2016-2022.
