Biography

Recently retired, Dr Davis graduated in medicine from the University of Western Australia. He trained in cardiology at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital and completed sub-specialty cardiac electrophysiology training at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA. He was a pioneer in catheter ablation, pacing, and implantable defibrillator use.

Biography

Associate Professor Chris O’Callaghan is a general physician and clinical pharmacologist with appointments at Austin Health and University of Melbourne. A/Prof O’Callaghan is a clinician researcher. His research interest extend from cell culture studies that examined the role of adrenaline in regulating synthesis of collagen, to cross-sectional and longitudinal studies of changes in blood pressure following spinal cord injury.

Biography

Dr Corcoran is a Cardiologist at Alfred Health. She trained initially in electrophysiology and pacing, but subsequently became interested in blood pressure regulation disorders resulting in syncope. She undertook further training in the autonomic control of blood pressure. She is passionate about evidence-based management of orthostatic and postprandial hypotension.

Dennis is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Director of the Australian Dysautonomia and Arrhythmia Research Collaborative at The University of Adelaide. He has published more than 270 peer reviewed articles and serves on the editorial boards of several international journals. His research focus includes atrial fibrillation, cardiac devices and postural tachycardia syndrome.

Biography

Cardiologist and electrophysiologist A/Prof Alex Voskoboinik graduated Monash University Medical School in 2008 with First Class Honors and was the dux of his graduating year level. He won six academic prizes during his medical training. He completed his cardiology advanced training at The Alfred Hospital in 2015 and then completed his subspecialty Clinical Electrophysiology Fellowship at The Alfred and Royal Melbourne Hospitals between 2016 – 2018. Between 2019 – 2020, he undertook further advanced ablation and pacing training at University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He is committed to research, having completed his PhD at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Research Institute and University of Melbourne in 2019 and was awarded the prestigious Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand Ralph Reader Prize for top young investigator. He is currently the recipient of a National Heart Foundation Early Career Fellowship and NHMRC Investigator Grant. He has over 100 publications, including first author publications in leading peer-reviewed journals including New England Journal of Medicine and Journal of the American College of Cardiology. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Monash University and holds clinical appointments at Alfred and Western Health.
