Biography

Dr Vetten is a paediatric cardiologist based at Perth Children's Hospital. She commenced her training at Princess Margaret Hospital in Perth, before moving to Starship Child Health in Auckland where she completed her training. She has since completed subspecialty training in advanced imaging at Starship and at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Canada. Zoe has an interest in advanced imaging including 3D echocardiography and fetal cardiology.

Biography

Katie has almost 30 years clinical experience working as a Genetic Counsellor in all disciplines from prenatal diagnosis, paediatrics, oncology and adult onset disorders in the public, private and commercial setting. Katie was the youngest certified and registered Genetic Counsellor under the Human Genetics Society of Australasia. Katie founded the Clinical Genetics unit for the ACT and surrounds in 1997 and was the sole practitioner for a population of 800,000 where she also facilitated several patient support groups and participated in Government Advisory groups. Katie has written the genomics components for several medical programs in Australia and has been heavily involved with education of medical professionals, patients and Governments Nationally and Internationally as well as Chair of the Genetic Counselling, Ethics and Patient Education Special Interest Group of the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis. Katie is the Senior Manager in Medical Affairs for Illumina and passionate about genomic education.

Dr. Kessler holds a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is a member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. With a strong commitment to research and medical education, Dr. Kessler is currently a PhD candidate at the University of New South Wales and the prestigious Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. Her research focuses on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging and cardiomyopathies.

Doctor Arnaud Mazier graduated from the Polytechnic Engineering School of Montpellier (France) with an M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering in 2018, followed by a Ph.D. in Engineering at the University of Luxembourg in 2022. Arnaud Mazier is a distinguished researcher specializing in biomechanics and computational modelling. Recognized for his Excellent Thesis Award in 2022, his research focused on data-driven patient-specific biomechanical modelling for enhanced cancer treatments. With expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and machine learning, Arnaud joined the University of Sydney in 2023 under the supervision of Prof Stuart Grieve. Their work focuses on personalized CFD models to help understand the haemodynamics of coronary arteries diseased patients withing the BioHEART project.
