Dr Kah Lok Chan is a consultant haematologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia. He obtained his undergraduate medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2009, followed by joint specialist training in haematology (FRACP/FRCPA) in 2018. In 2023, Kah Lok completed a PhD in the Dawson laboratory at Peter Mac, investigating epigenetic mechanisms of MHC-II regulation in acute myeloid leukaemia and other cancers. His doctoral studies were supported by scholarships from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ). Kah Lok works in the haematopathology department at Peter Mac, where he has a special interest in the diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic monitoring of haematological malignancies by multiparametric flow cytometry. He also maintains an active clinical interest in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and other lymphoproliferative disorders, and is a member of the Australasian Leukaemia & Lymphoma Group (ALLG) CLL Scientific Working Party.

David Westerman is the Head of Haematopathology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He has broad clinical and laboratory academic interests including teaching, myeloproliferative neoplasms, flow cytometry and measurable residual disease (MRD). He is a member of the RCPA immunophenotyping committee and has over 150 peer reviewed publications.

Dr Robert Hasserjian is Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and a Hematopathologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and is Program Director of the Mass General Brigham Hematopathology Fellowship. He received his MD from Harvard and trained in Anatomic Pathology and Hematopathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. His research interests are in the discovery of pathologic and genetic features that impact the biology of myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms, particularly myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemia. Dr Hasserjian is an author of over 300 peer-reviewed publications, reviews, and chapters. He is a past President of the Society for Hematopathology. He was a pathology leader of the International Consensus Classification of Myeloid Neoplasms (2022) and serves as an expert panel member for the European LeukemiaNet AML Guidelines. He was also a leader of the Myeloid Classification Advancement Meeting (CAM) in 2026. Dr Hasserjian is strongly committed to advancing diagnosis and education in hematopathology and has lectured on the diagnosis bone marrow disorders at numerous courses and international meetings across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Dr Louise Seymour is an experienced laboratory and molecular haematologist who was pivotal in the introduction of comprehensive genomic testing in haematological malignancies within Queensland state hospitals. She continues to advocate for the rational use of genomic testing in haematology and its integration into all aspects of patient care. Louise’s ongoing interests include the continual improvement in diagnostic test offerings in molecular haematology driven by scientific discovery and embracing innovative technologies.
