Dr Karen Breen is a consultant haematologist with a specialist interest in Thrombosis and Haemostasis and is Clinical Director of Haematology and supporting services at Guys and St.Thomas’ NHS foundation Trust. She trained in Haematology in Ireland and moved to the UK to conduct research in Antiphospholipid syndrome leading to an MD. Her main area of clinical interest is in Thrombosis, she helping to set up and run a PERT service and works closely with the Venous vascular service in managing venous interventions at GSTT. She is currently involved in several clinical trials and in translational research in antiphospholipid syndrome.

Dr Rob Lewis is a Specialist in Respiratory Medicine at Counties Manukau, Health New Zealand, and a visiting specialist to the Greenlane Pulmonary Vascular Clinic, Auckland. He undertook his pulmonary vascular fellowship at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield and was awarded a doctorate (MD) from the University of Sheffield for his research. He continues to have active research interests in both PAH and PE and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at both the University of Auckland and the University of Sheffield.

Tanya McWilliams is a specialist in Pulmonary Hypertension and Lung Transplant and leads the national CTEPH service at Auckland City Hospital. She is a graduate of Auckland Medical School with a PhD from Monash University obtained during a fellowship in Lung transplant at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
