Dr Shruthi Narayan leads UK haemovigilance as Medical Director of SHOT and serves as President of the International Haemovigilance Network. She also has a role as a Consultant in Donor Medicine and Plasma for Medicines at NHS Blood and Transplant and is part of the ISBT haemovigilance working party leadership team. She champions a systems-based approach to safety, focusing on human factors, learning from everyday practice, and driving continuous improvement across healthcare.

Dr. Justin Kreuter serves as the Medical Director of the Transfusion Laboratory, Associate Medical Director of the Transplant Compatibility Laboratory, and Vice Chair of Transfusion Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His clinical interests focus on patient blood management, applying principles of coagulation into clinical practice, and supporting patients who are refractory to platelet transfusion. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Kreuter’s passion is medical education. He has completed advanced training in medical education through the Harvard Macy Institute and interprofessional education at the University of Toronto. He serves as a faculty facilitator for Harvard Macy Institute’s course on Transforming Your Teaching Using Technology. He previously served on the Resident In-Service Examination committee, helping shape national pathology and transfusion medicine exams. In 2026, he will begin serving on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Pathology Review Committee.

Leanne is a Senior Medical Scientist at NCCTRC, Darwin, leading AUSMAT’s deployable laboratory capability. With over 20 years’ experience, she specialises in transfusion medicine, walking donor banks and blood management in austere environments. She contributes to WHO Emergency Medical Team safe blood guidance and has deployed with AUSMAT in emergency and disaster responses.

Nicola Crampton is an experienced Blood Bank Team Leader. As an active member of the ANZSBT Transfusion Science Standing Committee, she is passionate about fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and advancing best practice in transfusion medicine.
