Dr. Michelle Lavin is a Consultant Haematologist in the National Coagulation Centre, St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, Ireland and researcher in the Trinity Centre for Reproductive Sciences and Women’s Health. Her doctoral and postdoctoral work focused on von Willebrand Disease (VWD) and phenotypic variability, particularly in the setting of low von Willebrand Factor (VWF) levels. Her current research programme centres on improving recognition and diagnosis of heavy menstrual bleeding to enhance care for Women and Girls+ with Bleeding Disorders (WGBD+). Dr. Lavin serves as the Chair of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) VWD Committee, the European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD) WGBD Working Group and as an Associate Member of the FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) Menstrual Disorders and Related Health Impacts Committee. She previously served as a Co-Chair on the ISTH VWF Scientific Subcommittee and as an invited expert on the 2021 ASH/ISTH/NHF/WFH Management of VWD guidelines & the 2021 EAHAD Principles of Care for WGBD. She has been the recipient of the Highlights of ISTH award, the Eberhard F. Mammen Young Investigator Award and, most recently, the Irish Haemophilia Society Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to Haemophilia.

Dr Sally Campbell is a haematologist, working at Queensland Children’s Hospital, RBWH and Pathology Queensland in Brisbane. She has recently completed her PhD examining the Australian experience with inherited and acquired bleeding disorders, with a central focus on new treatments for rare bleeding disorders. She is also involved in clinical trials including gene therapy and non-factor replacement strategies

Julia is a consultant haematologist at Waikato Hospital specialising in haemostasis and thrombosis and contributing to the regional bleeding disorder service. She is a member of the New Zealand Haemophilia Treaters Group and a past chair of this group.

Nate Lucas is an Early Career Paediatric Haematologist at Starship Hospital and a PhD candidate with the Transfusion Research Unit at Monash University. His research focuses on improving the diagnostic work-up and understanding of bone marrow failure syndromes.

Dr Liane Khoo is a Staff Specialist Haematologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) in Australia.
