Dr Robert Hasserjian is Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School and a Hematopathologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and is Program Director of the Mass General Brigham Hematopathology Fellowship. He received his MD from Harvard and trained in Anatomic Pathology and Hematopathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital. His research interests are in the discovery of pathologic and genetic features that impact the biology of myeloid and lymphoid neoplasms, particularly myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemia. Dr Hasserjian is an author of over 300 peer-reviewed publications, reviews, and chapters. He is a past President of the Society for Hematopathology. He was a pathology leader of the International Consensus Classification of Myeloid Neoplasms (2022) and serves as an expert panel member for the European LeukemiaNet AML Guidelines. He was also a leader of the Myeloid Classification Advancement Meeting (CAM) in 2026. Dr Hasserjian is strongly committed to advancing diagnosis and education in hematopathology and has lectured on the diagnosis bone marrow disorders at numerous courses and international meetings across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Piers Blombery is a clinical and laboratory haematologist and lead of Molecular Haematology and the Wilson Centre for Blood Cancer Genomics at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Duncan is a neurologist and neurophysiologist at Wellington Hospital. Following neurology training in Wellington, he completed a combined clinical and research fellowship in peripheral nerve disorders at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London. He has a particular interest in inflammatory neuropathies, neuropathies associated with blood disorders, and those caused by malnutrition and toxins. In addition to general neurology practice, he runs a neuromuscular clinic at Wellington Hospital.

Ian is a laboratory haematologist with Awanui Labs, Dunedin. He has researched the genetics of familial thrombocytopenia for over 20 years at the University of Otago.
