Jenny is a haematology trainee in Auckland. She grew up in the Waikato region and completed medical training at the University of Auckland. She has previously worked a year at Austin Health in Melbourne, and have also contributed to the KISS study, a New Zealand trial in chronic myeloid leukaemia.

Dr Ian Irving is an experienced clinical haematologist at Icon Cancer Centre Wesley and Icon Cancer Centre Mackay, and is Icon Group’s Chief Medical Officer.

Dr Shuh Ying Tan is a Melbourne-based haematologist at St Vincent’s Hospital, specialising in malignant and benign blood disorders. She trained at leading Victorian hospitals and holds a PhD in myelodysplastic syndromes research. Dr Tan is actively involved in clinical trials and publishes internationally to advance targeted therapies in haematology.

A/ Prof Ashish Bajel is a Consultant Haematologist, Bone Marrow Transplant Physician, and Co-Lead of Acute Leukemia and Myelodysplastic Syndrome at Peter MaCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Melbourne Hospital. His primary research interest lies in exploring novel drug treatments and cell-based therapies for acute leukemias.

Ruby is a third-year PhD student under the Translational Cancer Pathology Laboratory at the University of Western Australia. Her research focuses on genomic monitoring of myelofibrosis patients following allogeneic stem cell transplantation through cell-free DNA sequencing as a blood-based approach for monitoring transplant response.

Dr Chloe Thompson-Peach is a postdoctoral fellow in the Myeloid Metabolism Laboratory at Adelaide University, developing mutation-specific therapies for Myelofibrosis and AML. Supported by a 2025 Cancer Council SA Early-Career Research Fellowship, she investigates the biological differences between CALR-mutation subtypes to develop precision therapeutic approaches tailored to these distinct mutations.

Steven Lane is a clinical haematologist and translational researcher focusing on molecular drivers of cancer and targeted therapies at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Leukaemia Research Lab at QIMR Berghofer. He is the Executive Director of Research for Metro North Health and principal investigator on national trials.
