Dr Parker is an Early Career Research Fellow at Monash University in the Transfusion Research Unit and holds research interests in patient experiences of care to improve health outcomes, particularly within haematological malignancies.

Joanna is a clinical and laboratory haematologist working at the Transfusion Research Unit on the implementation of the National Transfusion Dataset. Aside from transfusion research, she also is interested in research related to haemoglobinopathies/red cell disorders, obstetric haematology and public health.

Dr Chantal Attard is a Senior Research Fellow and Team Leader in Haematology Research at MCRI, with honorary appointments at RCH and the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on paediatric haemostasis, bleeding and thrombosis, anticoagulation, and age-appropriate diagnostics, with translational studies to improve outcomes for critically ill children.

Dr Maree Perry is an Aboriginal academic and researcher dedicated to understanding how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples think, feel and believe about blood, including blood donation and blood transfusion. Through community-engaged research, she seeks to contribute to culturally safe healthcare and improve equity in blood and transfusion services.

Aleksandra is the Clinical Surveillance Manager at New Zealand Blood Service. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) and a PhD from the University of Auckland, specialising in pharmacoepidemiology and health outcomes research. Before joining New Zealand Blood Service in 2024, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Auckland, contributing to both research and teaching.

Dr Miles Horton is a postdoctoral researcher in the immunology division at The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and a paediatrics trainee at The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne. His research focuses on the development of novel gene editing tools to overcome major challenges in inherited blood and immune disorders.
