Dr Hsu is a haematologist from Liverpool Hospital, where he is Director of Therapeutic Apheresis and Clinical Lead of Immune Haematology. He is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at UNSW and the current president of THANZ. His clinical interests are in immune haematology, complementopathies and thrombotic microangiopathies.

Prof Graham Lieschke is a consultant Haematologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He leads a research group at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute at Monash University, using zebrafish models of haematopoietic disease to study blood cell development.

Dr Danny Hsu is a consultant clinical and laboratory haematologist based at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, and current President of THANZ. He is Director of Immune Haematology and Director of Obstetric Haematology, with clinical and research interests spanning thrombosis, haemostasis, immune haematology, complement-mediated disorders, PNH, aHUS and ITP. Dr Hsu is an active clinical researcher, educator, and mentor.

Dr. Hasna Tokhi is a Paediatric Haematologist. As part of her training, she completed a fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust London, focusing on sickle cell disease and thalassaemia.

Kyle Cavanagh is a second-year medical student at the Australian National University with research interests in hematology and clinical outcomes research. He is presenting research conducted at Canberra Hospital under the supervision of A/Prof Phil Choi, investigating mortality and risk stratification in warm autoimmune haemolytic anaemia.

Dr Evan Zhang is an advanced trainee in haematology in Sydney as well as conjoint associate lecturer at the University of New South Wales. He has a strong interest in non-malignant haematology, specifically outcomes of transfusion-dependent thalassaemia patients.

Leads the King’s National Paroxysmal Nocturnal Haemoglobinuria service and National AA referral centre @ King’s. Translational Research: Molecular/immunological pathogenesis of MDS and aplastic anaemia, particular focus on overlap disorders. Bloodwise foundation and British Society of Haematology (BSH) senior clinical research fellow. Clinical Trials: Passionate about delivery of clinical trials. Current National/Global Coordinating Investigator for a number of early/late phase clinical trials. Current drive is to bring novel therapies for PNH, AA, TP53 mutated myeloid neoplasms and improvement of thrombocytopenia. Scienticific advisor/Patron for patient advocacy group (MDS UK) and member of the MDS NCRN working group. Secretary of the EBMT Severe Aplastic Anaemia Working Party. A/Prof Nalini Pati is a senior consultant Haematologist working in Canberra Hospital and affiliated with Australian National University and University of Canberra. He is the past recipient of Royal Australasian college of Physician Gold Medal for the work in Rural Australia. Dr Pati has special interest in leukaemia and lymphoma.
