Suelyn is a University of Melbourne PhD student from the Haematology Research Group at the Murdoch Children's Research Insitute. During her PhD, she aims to identify predictors for babies more likely to bleed post-cardiopulmonary bypass and understand the underlying mechanisms to provide evidence for the use of new targeted therapies.

Dr Genghis Lopez is a Senior Scientist at the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, Brisbane. He received his PhD degree from Griffith University and has published several papers reporting novel red cell antigens and red cell antibodies associated with haemolytic transfusion reactions or haemolytic disease of the fetus and the newborn.

Dr Marsali Maclean is a haematology fellow working at the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre at Austin Health, predominantly in myeloma, myelodysplasia and leukaemia trials. She has a keen interest in transfusion medicine and improving outcomes for patients with the best evidence-based transfusion practice.
