Dr Marc Ellis is a haematologist with an interest in thrombosis and haemostasis. He completed his PhD with the Thrombosis Research Group at the Heart Research Group in 2022 and is currently working at Liverpool Hospital.

Jemma Fenwick is a PhD candidate focused on studying platelet factor 4 (PF4) and its role in thrombo-inflammatory conditions. She is a current Medical Science graduate from the University of Sydney and achieved a first-class honours researching the role of extracellular vesicles within tissue micro-environments.

Yvonne is a Clinical and Laboratory Haematologist, who is currently undertaking doctoral studies within the Haematology Research Group at Charles Perkins Centre, under the supervision of Dr Freda Passam. Her research aims to investigate the role of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) proteins in platelet formation and thrombosis risk.

Biography

Dominic Pepperell is a Haematologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital & Western Australia Haemophilia Treatment Centre. Here he runs a tertiary referral Complex Thrombosis clinic, and is involved in the state centre for haemophilia and bleeding disorders. His current interests include novel haemophilia treatments and the evolving situation with vaccine-associated complications.

Biography

Dr Coupland is leading a research program at Liverpool Hospital ICU on the use of point-of-care technology to characterise and guide treatment for coagulopathies in the critically ill. In particular, her research focuses on the incidence, clinical correlations and kinetics of fibrinolysis resistance in a number of ICU cohorts.
