Biography

A/Prof Rachel Koldej is Senior Scientist in the ACRF Translational Research Laboratory at Royal Melbourne Hospital. Her work uses primary patient samples to understand the immunological impact of newly emerging therapies, identify treatment response biomarkers and develop novel combinations for application to the clinic.

Biography

Dr Pagani is a passionate Beat-Cancer-Project Researcher and emerging international leader in Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML). She contributed to change the treatment paradigm for CML from a lifelong disease control to cure. Her focus is to develop new targeted therapies and predictors to improve the clinical outcomes of CML patients.

Biography

Adelina graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Science from Flinders University. She then completed her Honours degree at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute studying drug resistance in chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML). Adelina is now a second year PhD candidate studying genomic mechanisms influencing outcomes in CML.

Dr Julian Grabek is a clinician researcher with an interest in the drivers of leukemic transformation in myeloproliferative neoplasms. He is currently completing his PhD with Prof Steven Lane at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research. His PhD is supported by HSANZ and Leukaemia Foundation.
