Dr. Namson Lau is Senior Endocrinologist affiliated with Liverpool and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals, NSW with expertise in the management of complex cardio-metabolic conditions, diabetes related foot disease and diabetes in the hospital. Through UNSW Sydney, Namson has over a decade of research experience in these areas and for his primary institution, he is clinical lead for Diabetic Foot and Diabetes In The Hospital.
It is through these roles that he is involved in protocol and clinical practice development, in order to improve the experience of people living with diabetes

Pete Lazzarini is an Associate Professor of Diabetes Foot Disease at Queensland University of Technology and Metro North Health in Brisbane, Australia. After practicing as a podiatrist for >10 years, Pete started his research career in 2011, was awarded his PhD in 2016, an NHMRC Early Career Fellowship in 2017, an Associate Professorship in 2020, an International Symposium on the Diabetic Foot Rising Star Award in 2023, and a further NHMRC Investigator Grant Fellowship in 2024. He has published >120 peer-reviewed papers, has a h-index of 42, attracted >$AU10 million in grant funding, and supervised 17 PhD/MPhil students.
