Leon is a passionate T1D advocate and an active researcher focusing on the application of technology and motivational models to diabetes management. He is an effective communicator, both in the written and spoken word, presenting at both local and international conferences.

Claire Carkeet and Anneliese McConnell are Junior House Officers at Queensland Children’s Hospital, first working in Gold Coast University Hospital. Claire is especially interested in paediatric oncology and loves to explore local art. Anneliese would love to pursue development paediatrics, and outside of work is a keen musician.

Han Jing Head Nurse of the Endocrinology Department at a general hospital, Deputy Leader of the hospital-wide Blood Glucose Management Team, and one of the first certified Diabetes Specialist Nurses . She is also a member of the Expert Database of the Diabetes Nursing Committee under the Chinese Nursing Association.

Ife Tokun is an endorsed senior podiatrist and clinical researcher at Townsville Hospital and Health Service. He led the implementation of Instant Total Contact Casting (iTCC) to improve access to best-practice care for diabetic foot ulcers. His work focuses on practical innovation and equity in regional diabetic foot management.

Ke Liu is studying at the West China School of Clinical Medicine, Sichuan University, and her research focuses on diabetes and diabetes-related conditions.
