Biography
Othmar Moser is a Full Professor of Sports Medicine at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and works at the outpatient clinic for diabetes, physical activity, and exercise at the Medical University of Graz (Austria). His research focuses on lifestyle interventions for individuals with diabetes, overweight, or obesity. He explores the integration of diabetes technology into healthy lifestyle strategies to enhance therapy outcomes and quality of life for people living with diabetes. Othmar was the lead author of the 2020 EASD/ISPAD position paper on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), exercise, and type 1 diabetes, and also led the recently published 2025 EASD/ISPAD position paper on automated insulin delivery (AID) systems and exercise in type 1 diabetes. He has authored over 200 scientific publications in the field of exercise and diabetes.

Biography
Alana is an experienced Registered Nurse and Credentialed Diabetes Educator currently working in a Transitional Nurse Practitioner role at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Diabetes Centre in Sydney. She also works regularly at the Royal North Shore Hospital Diabetes Centre as a senior Diabetes Educator. She holds postgraduate qualifications in Diabetes Management and Public Health and is on track to complete her Master of Nurse Practitioner by the end of this year.
With extensive experience supporting adults living with all types of diabetes, Alana is deeply committed to providing holistic, patient-centred care with the aim to improve quality of life and reduce diabetes distress. She has a strong interest in diabetes technology and possesses advanced expertise in the initiation and management of insulin pump therapy.
