Natalie Wischer OAM is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Diabetes Centres (NADC) and the Australian Diabetes Society’s Director of the Foot Forward program. She brings extensive leadership experience across clinical and executive roles in acute tertiary hospitals, aged care, primary and rural healthcare, and remote First Nations communities. Natalie was instrumental in developing the NADC Diabetes Service Standards and Accreditation Program, launched in 2012, and is the founder of the Australasian Diabetes Advancements and Technologies Summit (ADATS), established in 2017. Under her leadership, the NADC has delivered internationally recognised standards and accreditation for High-Risk Foot Services and launched the Australian Diabetes Foot Registry. Natalie is passionate about driving quality improvement and advocacy for optimal diabetes care for all Australians.
In her spare time, Natalie is a devoted volunteer and is currently serves as the President of the local Surf Life Saving club.

Professor Sophia Zoungas, MBBS(Hons) PhD FRACP FAAHMS
Professor Sophia Zoungas is the Head of the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Monash University, a Professor of Diabetes, Vascular Health and Ageing, and the Academic Director of the Monash University Clinical Trials Centre. She is also a consultant Endocrinologist and Physician with clinical appointments at both Monash Health, including the Victorian Heart Hospital, and Alfred Health, Melbourne.
Professor Zoungas is internationally recognised for her expertise in the design and conduct of large multicentre, multinational clinical trials and cohort studies which have impacted directly on public health and clinical care. She has assembled international and national teams in diabetes, cardiovascular and kidney health, including investigator lead projects and large-scale clinical trials. Her significant contribution to the advancement of diabetes research has been recognised through the Kellion Diabetes Award and induction into the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.
Professor Zoungas has over 330 publications in peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Annals of Internal Medicine, British Medical Journal, and Nature Reviews and she is recognised as one of the most cited researchers in the field of diabetes.

Prof. Stephen Twigg is Kellion Professor of Endocrinology and Stan Clark Chair in Diabetes at the University of Sydney, and Head of RPAH Endocrinology Department, Sydney. As a past- President of the ADS, current Diabetes Feet Australia Strategic planning committee member and past ADS Kellion Awardee, he is well recognised for his academic and clinical leadership in diabetes and its complications. He has published more than 250 scientific articles, with 15,000+ citations, and been primary supervisor of 18 PhD students. His presentation will focus on the challenging topic of painful neuropathy in diabetes, including its identification and progress in management

Dr Anna Wood is Head of Department of Endocrinology at Royal Darwin Hospital and a Senior Research Fellow with Menzies School of Health Research in Darwin. She works within the Diabetes Across the Lifecourse Partnership at Menzies and leads the PANDORA study. Dr Wood also leads weight management service in the NT and is a Director of the Australian Diabetes Society.

Emma Wilmot is an Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham, Honorary Consultant Diabetologist in Derby and founder of the Diabetes Technology Network UK. She has over 100 publications and has been principal or chief investigator on a range of diabetes studies. She was previously awarded the University of Leicester medal for excellent PhD performance "Type 2 diabetes in younger adults".
As founder of the award-winning Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD) Diabetes Technology Network UK, she led the organisation to support improvements in access to diabetes technology in the UK, developing and delivering policies and educational resources for both health care professionals and people living with diabetes.
Emma is an ABCD committee member, deputy lead for the ABCD audit programme and ABCD academic sub-committee member. She is also a DAFNE structured education executive board member and expert advisor for the National Diabetes Audit programme. Emma is regularly invited to deliver national and international lectures.
