Liam is a Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator at Sutherland Hospital, Sydney. He is passionate about person-centred care, nursing education, and integrating diabetes technology to enhance outcomes for people with diabetes and strengthen the capability of healthcare teams.

Deborah is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator. She started her diabetes career at Guy's and St. Thomas' hospitals in London. She now works for The Royal Melbourne Hospital HARP.

Bec Ritchie, Credentialed Diabetes Nurse Educator, Graduate Certificate in Counselling, Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre Bec is a CDE whose expertise is shaped by both clinical training and lived experience. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age two, she has managed the condition since 1992, giving her deep insight into medical, emotional, and lifestyle dimensions. Holding qualifications in nursing, diabetes education, and counselling, Bec provides holistic, patient-centred care through nationwide telehealth services. Her guiding philosophy, SEE Diabetes—Support, Educate, and Empower—reflects her commitment to person-centred care, advocacy, and lifelong wellbeing for those navigating the complexities of type 1 diabetes.

Jijimol Arun, a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Credentialed Diabetes Educator at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute. With a strong clinical background and a deep commitment to patient-centred care, Jijimol specialises in the management and education of individuals living with type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes. Jijimol brings a particular passion for the integration of advanced diabetes technologies, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring to support and empower individuals to manage their diabetes effectively and improving outcomes. Known for her engaging approach to education and evidence-based practice, Jijimol is dedicated to bridging the gap between innovation and everyday clinical care.

Ann has 20 years of experience as a registered nurse. She is a CDE working in metropolitan acute care, rural community health and private practice. Ann has been a member of the ADEA-VIC Branch Executive for six years and is a member of the ADEA Victoria Branch Conference Organising Committee. She has represented the ADEA as a member of a health advisory panel working with the Victorian Department of Education and Training and is passionate about diabetes education. Ann believes in the sustainability of private practice. Her focus is ensuring the CDE role is evidence-based best practice and continues to support the lobbying and support for ADEA members.
