Biography

Natalie Wischer OAM is the Chief Executive Officer for the National Association of Diabetes Centres (NADC) and Director of Foot Forward. Natalie has over 20 years of experience in clinical and executive health roles and has also worked extensively in rural and remote communities, gaining unique insights into the challenges faced by these populations. Natalie has a passion for leveraging technology to enhance healthcare and diabetes management, which led her to create the Australasian Diabetes Advancements and Technologies Summit, now in its 8th year. Her expertise in quality improvement in healthcare has led to the development of a range of NADC Standards and Accreditation programs promoting excellence in diabetes care delivery. She directed the Foot Forward program and the creation of resources and programs designed to support healthcare professionals in identifying, managing and appropriately treating diabetes related foot disease and preventing amputations. Her vision is to support health services to provide the best possible care for individuals with diabetes and drive transformative changes in the industry.

Biography

Dr Konrad Kangru is a practicing rural GP from north Queensland, Qld Representative on the RACGP Rural Faculty council, and a member of the Diabetes Australia Health Professional Advisory Council. He is also a member of the NADC Steering Committee, and remains engaged with ensuring Diabetes remains optimally managed within Australian primary care settings
